During my time at the University of Iowa, I obtained a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy, a Masters in Educational Measurement and Statistics, and a Graduate Certificate in College Teaching. I served as the Associate Director of the LGBTQ Counseling Clinic, as the co-chaired the Graduate Student Executive Committee (GSEC), where I helped found the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion subcommittee, and in other capacities. My involvement included teaching, research, speaking engagements, and advocating for social justice, trauma-informed care, and expanding access to gender-affirming mental health services.
